ITV Trailer for England vs France Re-Imagines If Gazza Had Scored Against Germany [VIDEO]

The scene is the 1996 European Championship semi-final between Germany and England. It’s 1-1 and the game goes into extra time, to see who can score the golden goal. Eight minutes into extra time, Paul Gascoigne gets a superb chance to score for England to send them into the final.

In reality, he wasn’t able to get his outstretched leg far enough in front of him to knock it in. But in ITV’s trailer for today’s England vs France game, ITV has re-imagined what would have happened if Gazza had actually scored. We can dream, right?
