US Launches Official World Cup Bid Site For 2018 and 2022

The US Soccer Federation has launched a website to promote the United States’s bid for the 2018 or 2022 World Cup.

The site, at www.gousabid.com, features a petition where soccer fans have add their name to the list of people who want to see the World Cup return to the United States. Many football experts consider the 1994 World Cup, held in the United States, the most successful and well-organized tournament to date.

For a limited time, soccer fans who complete the petition will receive a free sticker to help promote the site and the US bid.

The site also features:

  • An opportunity for soccer fans to share their soccer-related photos or stories,
  • An option to add the petition widget to your Facebook and blog,
  • Several articles on why the US should host the World Cup,
  • A list of the bidding cities being considered,
  • a blog, and more.

Be sure to follow the goUSAbid on Twitter, and be sure to tell all of your friends and family members to sign the petition. Let’s show the world how much we want to see the World Cup on our soil again.
