Everton boss Koeman rules out Joe Hart move

London (AFP) – Everton manager Ronald Koeman has dismissed talk of a move for out of favour Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart.

Hart is set to leave City after being reduced to a fringe role since Pep Guardiola’s arrival as manager and the England international had been strongly linked with a switch to Everton.

With City signing Barcelona keeper Claudio Bravo to replace him on Thursday, it seemed the 29-year-old had made his farewell appearance 24 hours earlier in a Champions League play-off win against Steaua Bucharest at Eastlands.

But Hart’s next destination remains uncertain after Koeman distanced himself from a potential deal for the former Shrewsbury keeper.

“There’s no interest,” Koeman told reporters on Thursday.

There have been reports that Hart’s reported £110,000-per-week wages are putting off interested clubs.

Koeman, who signed Netherlands goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg from Fulham during the close season, denied Hart had ever been a target, saying: “No…no,” when pressed on his interest in the City star.
