There is a slate of midweek games for Premier League fans. Makeup games that extend all the way back to September are finally happening this week. As an added bonus, that includes some key games.

That starts with four games on Tuesday that involve teams mostly in the relegation battle. Leeds United hosts Nottingham Forest in a game with massive implications in the battle to stay in the Premier League. Leeds is currently in the relegation zone after a loss at Arsenal at the weekend. However, the Whites are just a point behind Forest. Therefore, a victor at Elland Road on Tuesday does big things for survival chances in the home stretch of the season.

However, the game of the day on Tuesday has to be Liverpool’s trip to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea. Under a new interim manager, Chelsea looks to bounce back after sacking Graham Potter following a loss against Aston Villa. The Blues are 12 points away from the top four and 12 points away from relegation as things stand. Liverpool has been on the struggle bus, too. Just four points ahead of Chelsea, Jürgen Klopp said the only reason he still has a job despite dismal performances is because of past successes.

For Tuesday, the Premier League whiparound show Goal Rush is scheduled on Peacock so you can keep track of all of the games at the same time.

Wednesday’s games have impacts on both the top four and the relegation race. West Ham is clinging to safety by one point as it hosts Newcastle, which jumped into third at the weekend. The club it usurped for that spot, Manchester United, hosts Brentford, which notably battered the Red Devils, 4-0, earlier in the campaign.
