Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen ‘Out For Four to Six Weeks’: Nightly Soccer Report

Tottenham Hotspur attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen was carried off the field during Denmark’s friendly today against Norway, and may be out of action for four to six weeks.

According to Denmark national team manager Morten Olsen:

“Let’s wait and see. We shouldn’t expect the worst before we know for sure, but it looks like he won’t be able to play the next couple of weeks. It might also be longer than that.”

Eriksen suffered an ankle injury after he was on the receiving end of a bad tackle. There’s no official word yet regarding how long he’ll be out injured, but it appears that Eriksen will undergo a scan soon to determine the extent of the injury.

With Tottenham playing Manchester City and Manchester United in the next few weeks, the timing of the injury is unfortunate for the £11.8million signing as well as Spurs fans.
