New York City FC has unveiled its away shirt for the debut 2015 season.
After unveiling its home shirt in New York 10 days ago to a thumbs down from most bloggers and fans, the new MLS team today revealed its away shirt, which features a black shirt and sky blue trim.
Why, oh why New York City FC didn’t decide to use this as their home shirt and relegate the sky blue one to a change shirt, I don’t know (well, we do know, and it’s because their parent club is Manchester City). But NYCFC’s away shirt is a hundred times more attractive and appealing than the disappointing home jersey.
New York City FC’s away shirt is also relevant, featuring five stripes across the front of the shirt to symbolize the five boroughs of New York City.
The new away shirt will be officially available beginning in early January, 2015.
