Gianluca Vialli Believes Frank Lampard Should Leave Chelsea At End Of Season: The Daily EPL

Chelsea great Gianluca Vialli believes that Frank Lampard should leave the club at the end of the season.

Here’s what Vialli said:

“In my opinion it’s probably the right time for them to say goodbye to each other and leave on good terms.

“Frank has a fantastic opportunity to try something new, perhaps in Los Angeles or somewhere else in America, have fun for the next three or four years and make some money.

“Then one day he could perhaps come back to Chelsea as a hero. I really hope he scores a few more goals to become their top-scorer in the history of the club.”

Lampard is one goal away from reaching Bobby Tambling’s record of 202 goals in a Chelsea shirt. If Lampard is going to leave the club this summer, he only has a couple of games to try to get one goal to tie the record or two goals to set the new record. Interim manager Rafael Benitez says that there’s no guarantee that Lampard will play in the Europa League Final, so Lampard’s best bet to score is either today against Aston Villa or next Sunday against Everton.
