Arsenal Midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain Ruled Out For At Least Six Weeks Due to Injury

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been ruled out for at least six weeks with an injury he sustained against Aston Villa in the opening match of the Premier League weekend.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is suffering from a knee injury.

In other Arsenal team fitness news prior to tomorrow’s UEFA Champions League playoff match against Fenerbahce, Wenger said:

“Everybody else should make it. There’s a final decision [on Wednesday] but [Bacary] Sagna and [Kieran] Gibbs should be available.

“Nacho Monreal is back and will travel.”

Meanwhile, Arsenal received a further fitness boost with the news that Aaron Ramsey and Tomas Rosicky all came through a training session with no injury issues reported.

Abou Diaby, Mikel Arteta and Thomas Vermaelen remain injured.

Arsenal youngsters Hector Bellerin, Isaac Hayden and Serge Gnabry, all 18, and Gedion Zelalem, 16, have all been put on stand-by to join the senior squad.
