What is Manchester United's Strongest XI? Select Your Best Team Now

Manchester United is in the rare position of having a few key players available from injuries to play in their match this weekend. The opponent is Tottenham Hotspur, usually a team that is threatening at home, but when Spurs are away in the confines of Old Trafford, they’re woeful. The last time Tottenham beat United at Old Trafford in the league was December 1989. The winning goalscorer that day was one Gary Lineker, now of BBC’s Match Of The Day fame.

For Saturday’s late kick-off, Sir Alex Ferguson has the opportunity to pick from returning players Wayne Rooney and Darren Fletcher. Meanwhile, Antonio Valencia is a doubt for the match, but it’s possible that he may recover in time from his shin injury. Nemanja Vidic will be out for two months due to an injury, while Chris Smalling, Ashley Young and Phil Jones continue to be out injured.

So, which starting XI will be the strongest for Sir Alex Ferguson to field on Saturday? Where will Ferguson play Rooney, if at all? Ferguson has said that he plans on giving defender Scott Wootton some playing time, but will he start him? Is there room for Shinji Kagawa and Nani in the side? Should United stick with De Gea or is it time to give Anders Lindegaard some playing time?

Lots of questions, but what do you think?
