Fantasy Premier League show with James Richardson: NBC Sports

If you haven’t had a chance to watch the Fantasy Premier League show on NBC Sports, now’s the time.

Last week, we announced that NBC Sports were adding 4 new shows to their app and online. Goal Rush has already been a hit among many soccer fans, but the one program that has flown under the radar so far is Fantasy Premier League, which is hosted by James Richardson from The Guardian‘s Football Weekly podcast fame.

Accompanying AC Jimbo is Mark Sutherns from the popular Fantasy Football Scout website as well as journalist Jules Breach.

If you play Fantasy Premier League, this is the show for you.

On a typical episode, it features plenty of statistics and tips on which players to add and remove from your fantasy team. Sutherns is especially helpful for a deep dive into specific topics such as this week’s analysis on Liverpool’s midfield and which Reds midfielder is the best pick.

The show also features interviews with Premier League footballers about FPL, answers to FPL questions from viewers, a lower third that features stats on top scoring goalkeepers, defenders, midfields and forwards, as well as interviews with the people who are in first place out of the millions who play Fantasy Premier League.

There’s also a private league for all of the viewers, where the hosts show the top 10 leaderboard during the program.

Just like all of the programming that Premier League Productions/IMG produces, the show is visually appealing, light hearted at times but professionally well done.
