Manchester City Signs Argentine Striker Sergio Aguero In 5-Year-Deal

Manchester City has signed Argentine striker Sergio Aguero to the club in a five-year-contract. The rumored transfer fee is believed to be £38 million.

Out of all of the transfers so far this summer in the Premier League, the addition of Sergio Aguero is definitely the most high-profile signing of the pre-season. The Argentine star striker, who was signed from Atletico Madrid, is an incredible talent who has represented his country more than 30 times. Before joining Atletico, Aguero played at Independiente in Argentina.

The signing of Kun Aguero represents a massive statement from Manchester City in terms of their plans for the future. Aguero will be faced with the prospect of playing in the Champions League as well as playing in the best soccer league in the world on a weekly basis. He’ll also be seen as a worthy replacement for Carlos Tevez who wants to leave England.

Aguero is likely to be in the squad for this weekend’s Dublin Super Cup tournament. For viewers in the United States, the game will be shown live on Fox Soccer Plus and FoxSoccer.tv (8am ET, Saturday).

Aguero will wear the No.16 shirt.
