A bizarre scene happened in Ligue Un last weekend during the match between Guincamp and Ajaccio in the top flight French league.
In the 61st minute, with Ajaccio 1-0 in the lead at the time, Ajaccio’s Gadji Tallo made a run down the wing but was tackled by a Guincamp player. Tallo fell to the ground and was then taken off the field on a stretcher. While this was happening, Ajaccio manager Fabrizio Ravanelli didn’t waste any time, and he quickly brought Stefan Popescu on the pitch to take over from the injured Tallo.
However, Tallo didn’t realize what happened until it was too late. When he saw that Popescu was brought on to the pitch to replace him, Tallo miraculously jumped off his stretcher and remonstrated his anger and frustration at Ravanelli for substituting him. Tallo then got into a heated argument with his manager, until Tallo realized it was too late and went to sit on the substitutes bench.
Tallo is an Ivorian footballer who is currently on loan to Ajaccio from Roma.
I have a feeling that the next time Tallo gets tackled, he’s not going to fake an injury.
Despite Ajaccio being in the lead, Guincamp came back to win the match 2-1.
