Is This The Most Creative Free Kick of the Season So Far? [VIDEO]

Fourth division German side Rot-Weiss Essen scored one of the most creative free kicks this season last weekend when they used five decoys to trick the goalkeeper.

This is one of those videos you can watch over and over again to see the different movements of the players, and how the designated free kick taker remained calm until it was his moment to shine.

Fair play to the opponents Wattenscheid 09. While the wall and goalkeeper were tricked, they remained focused on the free kick. The wall didn’t break up. And the goalkeeper didn’t switch off. But perhaps that element of surprise by Rot-Weiss Essen was the difference in helping the team score. Of course, the wonderfully taken free kick helped too.

The match ended 2-2.
