With four teams remaining in the 2015 Women’s World Cup, we’re quickly coming close to the end of the tournament. Looking back over the past several weeks, there have been quite a number of spectacular goals throughout the tournament.

We compiled our list of the 10 best goals from throughout the tournament. Let us know if you think we missed one!

10. Christen Press (USA).

Christen Press’ World Cup debut could not have gone better. She gave the United States their go-ahead-goal against Australia in the team’s first Group match in Canada.

9. Fran Kirby (England)

England’s Fran Kirby scored a great goal in the Three Lions’ Group game against Mexico. After beating several defenders in the box, Kirby was able to slot the ball in the back of the net, going past three defenders as well as the goalkeeper.

8. Dzsenifer Marozsán (Germany)

Germany have scored some amazing goals through the World Cup but Dzsenifer Marozsán’s sliding kick to give Germany their 4th goal in their Group match against Sweden was pretty spectacular. Germany took a short corner kick and Marozsán slid to catch up with the ball, kicking it in the process and finishing with a goal.

7. Eugénie Le Sommer (France)

Although France had a disappointing ending to their World Cup, Eugénie Le Sommer was one of the tournament’s best. After stealing the ball from England near the box, Le Sommer was able to take a quick strike from outside the box and send it into the back of the net.

6. Ashley Lawrence (Canada)

Canada’s goal against the Netherlands shows their tenacity and their “never say die” attitude that they’ve had throughout their tournament run. Ashley Lawrence chased down the ball after a deflection off a Netherlands’ defender.

5. Lieke Martens (Netherlands)

Despite the Netherlands disappointing finish to their World Cup, this young team shows promise for the future. Lieke Martens’s outside the box strike was the first scored in the country’s history at a World Cup.

4. Trine Rønning (Norway)

Norway’s Trine Rønning scored this fantastic goal off a set piece when Norway was fouled during their match against Thailand, missing the defensive wall and going through the goalkeeper’s gloves.

3. Amandine Henry (France)

Amandine Henry’s wonder strike against Mexico gave the French a 5-0 lead and a memorable goal to finish up the game.

2. Vicky Losada (Spain)

Vicky Losada’s goal for Spain was the country’s first in a Women’s World Cup and showed Losada’s great ball control. After bringing the ball down with her chest, she only takes one touch and sends the ball into the back of the net following a great long ball.

1. Lucy Bronze (England)

Lucy Bronze’s goal for England in the team’s game against Norway gave the Lionesses the lead after falling 1-0 early in the second half. The goal propelled the English through the game and past the Norwegians.
