EPL Commentator Schedule

EPL Commentators on NBC: Feb. 8 to Feb. 10

The Premier League returns after a couple of weeks away due to the international break and the FA Cup.

As things stand, Manchester City remains in the pole position after 23 games, with Liverpool still nine points adrift. After Chelsea’s holding of third, the race for the fourth spot is the main draw in the league as things stand.

Right now, Manchester United holds that spot. However, four teams are within four points of the Red Devils, and some have games in hand. Wolves, Tottenham, Arsenal and West Ham are all well-within reach of grabbing that ever-valuable Champions League spot.

During this midweek round of fixtures, the biggest game for the teams in that mix is between Wolves and Arsenal on Thursday from Molineaux. Wolves may be in eighth, but this is a club playing well. The same can be said about Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal. If anything, this game serves as a litmus test for the rest of the season.

Moreover, the other clubs in that hunt for fourth have games where anything less than three points is a failure. Manchester United play away to Burnley, which sits at the bottom of the league. Then, West Ham takes on Watford, a club currently in the relegation zone. Tottenham’s game is somewhat more challenging, a home fixture with Southampton.

The two title contenders, Manchester City and Liverpool, go into each game as favorites. Brentford’s last four EPL games are all losses, and it looks like it could be five with a trip to the Etihad. Meanwhile, Liverpool host a topsy-turvy Leicester side struggling to find a run of form.

NBC Coverage

This weekend, NBC will broadcast the Super Bowl. To commemorate the occasion, a number of NBC’s other studio properties, including those unrelated to American football, have their shows from SoFi Stadium, the host of the Super Bowl.

Among that list is the NBC Premier League studio coverage. However, the crew changes slightly this week.

Rebecca Lowe, the usual studio host, is the daytime Olympic host for NBC’s coverage in Beijing. To fill her spot, Arlo White, usually on the call for games, is the host from the home of the Los Angeles Rams and Chargers. Tim Howard, Robbie Earle and Robbie Mustoe join White from SoFi Stadium not only for coverage of the midweek games, but all the way up through Super Bowl Sunday.

Premier League Live gets you set for pregame coverage. Then, following the conclusion of each day’s games, Goal Zone wraps up all the news and noteworthy events from the games.
