beIN SPORTS has launched a new redesign of its beIN SPORTS Connect streaming service, which includes the addition of new channels and an easier-to-use interface.
Most importantly, beIN SPORTS Connect now features the beIN SPORTS (English-language) and beIN SPORTS Español (Spanish-language) channels in its offerings as well as 9 other new channels. You still need to have a TV subscription to beIN SPORTS and your TV provider needs to be one of the few that have an agreement in place to bring you the service (namely AT&T U-Verse, Atlantic Broadband, BrightHouse, COX, DirecTV, DISH, HotWire, Optimum, Time Warner and Verizon FiOS), but if you meet the above criteria, you can log in and enjoy many more games than before.
Plus, beIN SPORTS has wisely decided to expand its beIN SPORTS Connect coverage and to designate each of the distinct streams on beIN SPORTS Connect as its own separate online channel. So in addition to beIN SPORTS and beIN SPORTS Español, beIN SPORTS Connect now features:
• beIN SPORTS 2
• beIN SPORTS 3
• beIN SPORTS 4
• beIN SPORTS 5
• beIN SPORTS 6
• beIN SPORTS 7
• beIN SPORTS 8
• beIN SPORTS 9
• beIN SPORTS 10.
Each of the beIN SPORTS Connect online channels will be live whenever games are available. And presumably with more bandwidth in the way of channels, soccer fans will be able to see more La Liga, Ligue Un, Serie A, Championship, Russian Premier League and League Cup games than ever before.
The redesigned website also features a new-and-improved TV guide. In addition to the improved web presence, beIN SPORTS has upgraded the beIN SPORTS Connect apps on smart phones and tablets.

“We strongly in digital media,” said beIN SPORTS Deputy Managing Director Antonio Briceno. “We believe that’s where the market is going. We’re trying to improve the experience for the end-user. We usually had 7 channels of beIN SPORTS Connect. We’ve added 4 more to bring overflow content to the end-user. We want all of those channels to become program channels. The only difference is that they’re not being broadcast on the satellite, but will be on the Internet. The first 7 channels will be soccer-related. The remaining 4 will be other sports.”
Asked when Comcast subscribers can expect to have access to beIN SPORTS Connect, Briceno explained:
“We’ve been working very hard on that. We truly believe that’s what every user that’s paying for the channel deserves to have because the amount of content we have on the authentication platform is much more than what we’re able to show on two linear channels. With Comcast, it hasn’t been a reluctance from a business type of perspective. It’s more that they’re a very big platform composed of many markets that they’re acquiring in several different DMAs. It’s very hard for a company that big for a company to get the technology working so they can optimize their bandwidth. I’m hoping before the end of the year we should be able to authenticate.”
