Barcelona have been given a deadline of Friday to negotiate the transfer of Dynamo Kiev forward Andriy Yarmolenko, since the Ukranian side have already reportedly reached an agreement with Everton for the 25-year-old attacker.
The Catalan daily SPORT is reporting the Merseyside club has agreed a deal close to £18 million with Dynamo Kiev for the Ukraine international. However, Barcelona – who were not planning to make a move for Yarmolenko during this window – have sprung into action and are prepared to outbid Everton in order to secure the Ukrainian forward this season.
Manager Luis Enrique has green-lit the move for Yarmolenko after seeing the departure of Pedro to Chelsea. The Spanish boss is concerned that injuries to Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and/or Neymar would hinder Barcelona’s attack.
The La Liga side is currently serving a FIFA-imposed two-window transfer ban but have been able to circumnavigate the embargo by signing players to a normal working contract and them having them wait to play until January 2016 – when the ban is lifted.

Arda Turan from Atletico Madrid and Aleix Vidal of Sevilla have already been brought in during the current transfer window.
The understanding is that Dynamo Kiev has frozen the deal with Everton for Yarmolenko and will give Barcelona until Friday to negotiate a transfer.
According to SPORT, Barcelona will offer £15 million in three payments. First, £4 million when the deal is closed. In January, £4 million more. And the final £7 million at the end of the season. In exchange, Barcelona will offer Dynamo the chance for Yarmolenko to stay at the Ukrainian side until the end of the year, provided they do not play him in the UEFA Champions League.
