UPDATED: Don’t be surprised if you hear MLS fans chanting, “Stoke City, are you Columbus Crew in disguise?” if the Potters wear their new away jerseys at Stoke’s pre-season friendlies in the United States this summer.
Photos have been leaked on the Internet of Stoke’s new away shirt. The black jersey with yellow and white trim look very similar to a Columbus Crew home shirt from the past.
While the design of the shirt isn’t that original, not surprising due to adidas’s preference to work from existing templates, it’s still distinctive enough in the Premier League season next year to be noticeable. And black shirts are still in.
