Radamel Falcao Left Out Of Colombia's 23-Man World Cup Squad

Colombia has revealed its 23-man squad for the World Cup, and the shock is that striker Radamel Falcao has been excluded from the roster.

In addition to Falcao being dropped due to his injury, Colombia head coach Jose Pekerman also decided to exclude Amaranto Perea and Luis Fernando Muriel.

Colombia’s 23-man squad for World Cup 2014 is as follows:

Goalkeepers: David Ospina (Nice), Faryd Mondragon (Deportivo Cali), Camilo Vargas (Santa Fe).

Defenders: Eder Alvarez Balanta (River Plate), Santiago Arias (PSV), Pablo Armero (West Ham), Carlos Valdes (San Lorenzo), Mario Yepes (Atalanta), Cristian Zapata (Milan), Camilo Zuñiga (Napoli).

Midfielders: James Rodriguez (Monaco), Abel Aguilar (Toulouse), Juan Guillermo Cuadrado (Fiorentina), Fredy Guarin (Inter), Alexander Mejia (Nacional), Juan Fernando Quintero (Porto), Aldo Leao Ramirez (Morelia), Carlos Sanchez ( ElChe).

Forwards: Carlos Bacca (Sevilla), Teófilo Gutiérrez (River Plate), Victor Ibarbo (Cagliari), Jackson Martinez (Porto), Adrián Ramos (Hertha).

The three players who were left out of the final squad are: Radamel Falcao, Amaranto Perea and Luis Fernando Muriel.

Falcao initially suffered the injury in a largely irrelevant French cup game. Watch the video from that incident here.
