Premier League Sunday, Gameweek 16: Dec. 15, 2013

The pressure continues to mount on Premier League managers today as David Moyes, Chris Hughton and Andre Villas-Boas will be looking for their sides to win today to take pressure off their shoulders with mounting expectations.

With Arsenal’s defeat yesterday and the Premier League title race opening up, Manchester United have an opportunity to close the gap between them and the league leaders with a victory against Villa today.

Meanwhile, the match between Tottenham and Liverpool will have a big impact on which of these two teams are genuine title contenders. A victory for either side will do a lot of good to move them up the table and to boost confidence levels.

Last but not least, Norwich are just two points above West Brom in the league table, so Chris Hughton (despite picking up a couple of wins recently) will want to stay out of the relegation drop zone in order to ensure his job is safe in East Anglia.
