Basel (Switzerland) (AFP) – Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson was named among the substitutes for Wednesday’s Europa League final against Sevilla at St-Jakob Park in Basel.
Henderson made his return from a knee injury at the weekend, but Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp decided to take no risks with the midfielder and kept faith with the same team that started the second leg of their semi-final against Villarreal.
Divock Origi also took his place on the bench after overcoming an ankle problem, while defending champions Sevilla, who are hoping to lift the trophy for fifth time in the past decade, drafted in Sergio Escudero at left-back in place of the injured Benoit Tremoulinas.
