Gameweek 6 in England means we know the EPL commentator schedule for NBC’s coverage.
Currently, there are three teams at the top of the table with 13 points after five games. Chelsea leads the pack based on goal differential. Then, Liverpool and Manchester United occupy the second and third spots, respectively.
Chelsea’s four wins and one draw is especially impressive. The draw came on the road at Liverpool, playing down a man for the entire second half. They won last weekend on the road at Tottenham, 3-0, with a 2-0 demolition at Arsenal coming in their second fixture.
The road does not get smoother. Chelsea hosts defending Premier League champions Manchester City on Saturday morning. City’s crosstown rivals host Aston Villa Saturday morning, looking for a third straight Premier League win.
Interestingly, the Manchester United game against Aston Villa will have a special guest on the mic. The EPL commentator schedule differs slightly this week with Andres Cantor calling that game in English. It will be Cantor’s first time calling a game in English, with Robbie Earle joining the Argentina-born legend.
There are just two games scheduled on Sunday. The 203rd North London Derby between Arsenal and Tottenham highlights Sunday’s action. Arsenal come into the game winning four of their last five in all competitions. Contrarily, Tottenham dropped their last two Premier League contests after starting with three wins from three.
Later, on Monday, Crystal Palace hosts Brighton to close out the gameweek.
Premier League Mornings get your days started at 7 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Next, Premier League Live and Goal Zone keep you up to date on the happenings in between games. Tim Howard and Danny Higginbotham join Rebecca Lowe behind the desk over the weekend. Ahmed Fareed takes over for Monday’s studio shows.
