Celtic Score 92nd Minute Goal to Qualify For UEFA Champions League Group Stage [GIF]

Against all odds, Celtic mounted an amazing comeback tonight to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.

After losing 2-0 in the first leg against Shakhter Karagandy, Celtic had to score two unanswered goals in order to tie up the match. And that they did. But with just minutes to go before the match was set to go to extra time, Celtic forward Anthony Stokes went on a mazy run as he dribbled through the Shakhter defenders, and then crossed the ball back into the box for James Forrest to ram the ball into the back of the net.

The goal sent Celtic Park into bedlam. Celtic manager Neil Lennon was so joyful at the winning goal that he ran down the touchline to jump on the mob of Celtic players who were celebrating near the corner flag.

Celtic held on to win the match 3-0, and 3-2 on aggregate. The Glasgow club will find out tomorrow who’ll they face in the UEFA Champions League group stage, which kicks off next month.
