Alan Pardew: Ferguson Should Have Seen Red for Accosting Officials: The Nightly EPL

Earlier in the day, we reported that The FA decided not to punish Sir Alex Ferguson for accosting referee Mike Dean and the assistant referees at the beginning of the second half of the Boxing Day match at Old Trafford. Referee Mike Dean didn’t note any misconduct in his post-match report, so The FA decided not to take any action.

However, Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew came out today and said that he thought Ferguson should have received a red card. And in further news that will rile many supporters in the Premier League, word is that Roberto Mancini and Harry Redknapp may be punished by The FA for seemingly less controversial incidents (Mancini said that a referee had too much to eat at Christmas, while Redknapp said that the referee in his match should go to a store to buy some new spectacles).
