101 Great Goals: iPhone App Review

For soccer fans on the go, mobile apps are incredibly useful tools so you can follow your favorite sport wherever there’s a cellular connection. So I was particularly interested to see that one of the most popular soccer video sites, 101 Great Goals, had launched an iPhone app recently. Its web site is a must-visit, so I was curious to see if the app could come close.

The 101 Great Goals iPhone app is a perfect extension of the 101 Great Goals website. Simply said, it does what 101 Great Goals does best which is providing you with great video content that is otherwise difficult to find.

The iPhone app, which is free, features a stream of the latest news and videos of the day. You can scroll through the ‘news feed’ and select which items you’d like to read or watch. The beauty of the app is its simplicity. You want to watch a video of Andy Carroll in his Liverpool press conference? Click the feed item, push the play button on the next page of the app and the video loads within seconds.

In addition to goal highlights and video interviews, there are also blog posts from 101 Great Goals.

If you’re on the go and like to stay on top of what’s happening in the soccer leagues around the world, especially the Premier League, I highly recommend the 101 Great Goals iPhone app.
