US Soccer has agreed to a partnership with NBCUniversal Telemundo to broadcast all USMNT and USWNT matches in Spanish. The four-year deal begins immediately, as the women’s national team plays New Zealand tonight, Tuesday, January 17th.

“Building off the momentum of a historic World Cup 2022, we are proud to partner with the U.S. Soccer Federation and become the new exclusive Spanish-language home of Team USA,” stated NBCUniversal chairman Beau Ferrari.

“We look forward to together propelling the growth of soccer in the United States and serving our audiences across all platforms, as we build toward the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2023 and FIFA Men’s World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada in 2026.”

All matches will be available to stream on Peacock

The new partnership will bring over 20 US national team games annually to Telemundo, Universo and Peacock. Furthermore, this will include friendly matches, as well as the SheBelieves Cup and other important games from the USMNT and USWNT.

Andres Cantor leads the network’s on-air team as play-by-play announcer. The six-time Emmy Award winner and Hall of Famer is one of the most recognizable voices in soccer.

Coverage on Telemundo starts with two USWNT games, then USMNT

Universo will start the partnership with two USWNT friendly matches this week. The Americans play New Zealand twice within three days. The first matchup is on Tuesday, Jan. 17. Then, the two play again on Friday, Jan. 20. Both games begin at 10 p.m. ET and will be broadcasted in Spanish on Universo. They will also be available to stream on Peacock and the Telemundo app.

Coverage for the USMNT games on the networks is set to start in the end of January. The American men face Serbia on Wednesday, Jan. 25. Then, it faces Colombia on Saturday, Jan. 28. Moreover, Universo will broadcast the Serbia game. Meanwhile, Telemundo will air the Colombia match. Also, these fixtures will be available on Peacock and the Telemundo app.
