With only 6matches left for Wolves this Championship season, can Mick McCarthy defy the odds and take his team to the Championship title and automatic promotion. Many predicted Wolves would earn a playoff spot this season but very few, including myself thought they would storm the Championship and minus a few blips stay there all season in pole position. Currently Wolves are 5 points ahead of second placed Birmingham withboth having played 40 games. On April 6th, Wolves take on second placed Birmingham at St. Andrews and I believe that will decided the winner of the Championship. If Wolves win this match they will be 8 points ahead with 5 matches to play. Wolves also play relegation threatened Southampton (H), Derby County (A), QPR (H), Barnsley (A) and finish off the season at home to Doncaster Rovers. I believe that Wolves will take 12 points from thier remaining games and win the Championship and automatic promotion to the BPL for next season. Mick McCarthy has done a great job at Wolves this season, beating all expectations many had placed on them for the season. If they can hold on, and think they will, we will see those gold kits in the Premiership once again.
