A Ted Lasso ice cream flavor has hit the United States. Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams has created a new flavor called Biscuits with the Boss. The flavor is a combination of broken shortbread cookies with a buttery sweet cream. Owner Jeni Britton claims that the fresh flavor “transports you to the sidelines of a UK football match without leaving the couch.”

Main character makes shortbread for boss in show

The collaboration between Ted Lasso and the sweet treats manufacturer has been in the works for over a year. In the show, the title character brings biscuits (cookies here Stateside) to the owner of AFC Richmond, Rebecca Welton, on workday mornings. Rebecca initially rebuffs the shortbread biscuits at first, but then becomes obsessed with them.

Britton created the ice cream company over 20 years ago using a unique recipe. Ice cream made in the stores is made from scratch and regularly features unique flavors inspired from art, history, and pop culture.

Biscuits with the Boss can be purchased at all Jeni’s stores, on their app, or even be shipped directly to you. A pint of the new flavor costs $12. The company is based in Ohio, but currently has locations in 15 states and the District of Columbia. This includes much of the southeast, midwest, and southwestern parts of the U.S.

Ted Lasso ice cream is good timing ahead of new season

The ice cream release comes just a couple of weeks before season three of Ted Lasso is released for streaming. Apple TV+ has been the home of the show since its inception in 2020. Season one received 20 Primetime Emmy Award nominations. It was the most nominations for a freshman comedy show in the history of the award show.

Ted Lasso was also nominated 20 more times for the sophomore season. The hit show has collected seven Primetime Emmy Awards over the course of the first two seasons. Season three is set to be available on March 15.

Now that Biscuits With The Boss has been launched, we eagerly wonder what the next creation may be from Jeni’s. Who’s up for some Welcome To Wrexham ice cream?
