Saturday’s el Clasico between Real Madrid and Barcelona will be a welcome relief after the two week international break that many soccer fans have had to suffer through.
But it won’t just be a passing fad. As usual, the game promises to be an entertaining game with many of the world’s greatest footballers giving all they’ve got in the span of 90 electrifying minutes.
But the big question is who do you think will win?
Barcelona currently has a 3-point lead atop the table in La Liga, with Real Madrid following closely behind in second place. Real Madrid, however, has a +19 goal difference compared to Barca’s +13, so a victory for Los Blancos will give them an edge in the Primera Division. Plus, Rafa Benitez’s side is playing at home.
Whether Lionel Messi will play or not, we’ll have to wait and see. The latest reports are that he will be in the squad and may make an appearance from the substitute’s bench.
