EPL Commentator Schedule

EPL commentators on NBC: May 22

It all comes down to Sunday.

Manchester City and Liverpool fight for Premier League glory. Leeds and Burnley put it all on the line to avoid the drop. Arsenal and Tottenham look to claim the final UEFA Champions League spot. The best part is, each of these teams play at the same time on Sunday.

NBC calls it ‘Championship Weekend.’ While only one champion is crowned, many games carry significance due to the impact on the final table standings.

Starting at the top, Liverpool hosts Wolves while Manchester City welcomes Aston Villa. City holds a one point edge and a massive goal differential advantage. However, with the desperation of both sides, if one team drops points, the other likely wins the title. Such is the nature of a title race this close.

Just beneath, Tottenham looks fairly secure in its bid for the UEFA Champions League. Arsenal, which hosts a now-safe Everton, needs Spurs to lose at Norwich City. Spurs’ two-point cushion for fourth should be enough to see it into the Champions League, especially playing the worst team in the league.

Finally, the relegation battle rounds out. Leeds and Burnley are both against the wall playing Brentford and Newcastle, respectively. Entering the final day, Leeds trails Burnley by one point and a clear margin in the goal differential. Neither game is straightforward, but the edge likely goes to Burnley to stay up. Jesse Marsch has pulled heroics this season. Elland Road needs him to do the same in matchday 38 to guarantee safety.

NBC Coverage

Each of the 10 games this weekend are at the same time. Five games are on cable or streaming, while nine are on Peacock. The lone game not on Peacock is the Liverpool-Wolves game on USA Network.

The NBC crew is making another trip out to England this weekend. Rebecca Lowe, Robbie Earle, Robbie Mustoe and Tim Howard will be pitchside at Anfield ahead of Liverpool’s game against Wolves.

With so many games to keep up with simultaneously, it is a blessing the Goal Rush returns for the final time this season. The whip-around show provides the highlights and major moments from around the grounds, while keeping a focus on one game in particular. Expect that to be the Manchester City or Liverpool game. However, for the neutral fan, it is the best way to follow the action in all the races to close the season.

The lone Premier League game in 4K this weekend is the Manchester City contest against Aston Villa. Manchester City could be lifting its fourth Premier League trophy in the last five seasons with a win or a Liverpool stumble. Make sure to check if you have the ability to watch the Premier League in 4K based on how you watch and the devices you use.
