Peacock is broadcasting all 64 games at the World Cup. The streaming service also has shoulder programming on either side of the kickoffs.
However, the Peacock World Cup games are not in English. Instead, all World Cup coverage available through Peacock are in Spanish. That includes actual broadcasts of the 64 games.
This extends from the fact that Telemundo and Universo have exclusive Spanish-language rights to the World Cup in the United States. With those falling under the NBCUniversal family of channels, the company’s paid streaming service provides an opportunity to watch. Plus, it comes at an affordable price.
Peacock is just $4.99 per month, a bargain compared to the more extensive streaming options such as fuboTV, YouTube TV or even Sling. While those options certainly provide more options at large for content, Peacock is perhaps the most affordable way for cord-cutters to watch the World Cup.
Remember, the World Cup on Peacock is not in English. All of the commentary, analysis, graphics and more are in Spanish. If you speak Spanish, then there is no competition for Peacock. However, if you require the English-language broadcasts, there are ways to still save money using Peacock.
Watching the World Cup on Peacock in English
This requires you to use two services at once. For the TV side and the viewership, Peacock is all you need. However, you can sync up English-language radio broadcasts of the World Cup with what you see on your television.
BBC Radio 5 Live has radio broadcasts of the games (available via the ExpressVPN service). Same goes for TalkSPORT, or the FOX Sports channel on SiriusXM. Once you are listening to the World Cup on the radio, align that with the Peacock app by pausing the game or the radio broadcast. Once they are synced up, you are watching the World Cup in English, but using the Spanish broadcast on Peacock.
