The pod is small this week. We take time to look at Sunderland and their Brucelessness; Liverpool and their Luclessness; and the Carling Cup with it’s significance. Cup competitions are a nice punctuation to a season, but what more can it do to boost an ego?
We dress this around the basis that the human side of sport is what makes it one of the most endearing sports when it comes to narrative, often without trying to be.
Looking forward to next weekend, what do you think is the most significant match? Whilst there are no stand out ties for a “Super-Sunday” it does seem that some teams are desperate to revive their waining season, a step which could be vital before the christmas glut of games.
