In Germany, many fans do not want Antonio Rüdiger to represent the national team. This is reflected in a poll conducted by the German newspaper Bild, in which a resounding 78% believe that the Real Madrid defender should no longer play for the four-time World Cup champions.

“Rüdiger’s behavior is a disgrace. The national team coach should consider whether such a man can continue to represent our country,” says former FIFA referee and BILD expert Thorsten Kinhöfer about Antonio Rüdiger.

In the survey, in which up to 18,000 readers voted, there was only 20% support for the German player and 2% who remain undecided regarding the decision that Julian Nagelsman has to make in the next call-up.

What is clear is that Rüdiger, after this episode in the Copa del Rey final, is in the eye of the hurricane and receiving a significant amount of criticism.

Poll results reflect anger

The poll results highlight the strong sentiment against Rüdiger in Germany, with a large majority of fans believing that he should no longer represent the national team. The comments from Thorsten Kinhöfer further underscore the gravity of the situation.
