Trent Alexander-Arnold made his professional debut on October 25, 2016, with Liverpool, and he never looked back. However, after more than 20 years at Anfield, including his time in the youth ranks, the English international will leave the club this June 30, when his contract expires.

A heartfelt farewell
“This club has been my life, my whole world, for 20 years. From the Academy to now, the support and affection I have felt from everyone, both inside and outside the club, will stay with me forever. I will be eternally indebted to you. But I have never known anything else, and this decision involves experiencing a new challenge, stepping out of my comfort zone, and pushing myself both professionally and personally,” he added.
“I have given everything every day I have been at this club, and I hope you feel that I have repaid you during my time here. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you all: my coaches, my representatives, my teammates, the staff, and our incredible fans. My love for this club will never die…,” he concluded.
Real Madrid beckons?
Now, with his departure confirmed and with the Premier League title secured, Alexander-Arnold is reportedly in pole position to become Real Madrid‘s first signing for next season, according to Spanish media. Furthermore, the Brit could play in the new Club World Cup with Los Merengues, but for that to happen, the Spanish club would have to pay 1.2 million euros and pay his salary throughout June, since the tournament in the United States begins on the 14th of that month. This is because that is how contract will play out to begin with.

Arnold’s numbers with the Reds
