American fans can now stream Wrexham games in the National League.

Previously, FA Cup games were available through ESPN+. In fact, select games even aired on ESPN2 as Wrexham punched its way into the FA Cup proper. That appearance on TV averaged 89,000 viewers. Remarkably, that was more than the MLS Decision Day broadcast on FS1.

Club owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney advocated for broadcasting Wrexham National League games. The reason is simple. It grows the popularity of not just the team, which already has a well-liked documentary series. It can also grow the regard for the National League if American fans have a storyline to follow.

Fittingly, the National League announced National League TV. While, as of press time, it is currently under a two-week trial period, this is one of the first ways to watch National League games on TV, particularly in the United States. Streaming launches on Dec. 10, 2022 which includes the ability to stream the Wrexham National League game against Eastleigh.

How to stream Wrexham National League games

To watch Wrexham in the National League, you can sign up through the club itself. Or, you can go directly through National League TV.

Matchday passes for each round are not free, so there is a price to pay when signing up to stream National League games. The price is also subject to change, as National League streaming is something relatively new, regardless of location.

The full launch of National League TV is set for a different time. Therefore, this two-week trial period will not quite have the full functionality of National League TV. That being said, it does allow the opportunity to stream Wrexham National League games for its American audience.

As stated, this starts Dec. 10 in Wrexham’s game against Eastleigh. Also, note that this is different from the Isuzu FA Trophy. International audiences should be able to watch that via WrexhamPlayer. However, further information on Wrexham streaming options is coming in due course.

Wrexham becoming the second favorite team of many soccer fans in the USA

Much of the popularity of Wrexham in the United States is due to the FX/Hulu series Welcome to Wrexham.

Fans of season 1 of Welcome to Wrexham met the program with overwhelming praise since its release in August. Reelgood is an aggregator that compiles statistics on television streaming. The website claims the show, starring McElhenney and Reynolds, finished as the seventh-most watched show in the United States for the week of September 2nd.
