After a week of League Cup action, the Premier League sets up some delightful fixtures. The best of those is Liverpool’s trip to London to face Tottenham Hotspur. Both of these clubs are on fine form, and they are two of the four undefeated clubs in the Premier League. Liverpool rattled off five wins after an opening-day draw at Stamford Bridge. Tottenham played out a dramatic 2-2 draw at North London rivals Arsenal. Spurs hosts the Reds Saturday at 12:30 p.m. ET.
Another notable game is Aston Villa hosting Brighton to start the weekend’s action. Both of these underdog clubs are off to blazing starts. Already in European competition this season, both clubs see a return to that next season as a real possibility. Knocking off a rival for that spot goes a long way in the volatile Premier League table.
On Monday, Fulham hosts Chelsea in one of the closes derbies geographically speaking. Chelsea is only traveling two miles from Stamford Bridge to get to Craven Cottage. Chelsea has just five points after six games, and its form has been, bluntly put, dreadful. Fulham is not an easy away day either, as the Blues lost there last season.
Coverage on NBC this weekend
