The speculation is over. Xabi Alonso will reportedly be the next manager of Real Madrid, starting June 1st. Renowned journalist Josep Pedrerol announced this scoop. The former soccer player will helm the squad at the Club World Cup beginning later in June. This eliminates the possibility of Solari managing the team.

Alonso, still the coach of Leverkusen (with one Bundesliga game remaining), is reportedly signing a three-year contract. This marks the beginning of his project with the club. This will take effect when Carlo Ancelotti leaves the team.

Alexander-Arnold and More!

Alonso’s arrival could bring a few player additions with him. The first one is Trent Alexander-Arnold. The Liverpool defender said that he would be leaving after Liverpool won the title for the year. The other two players will include a left back and a central defender. This is clear based on past season results.

These are only a few examples. With Alexander-Arnold joining the team and having a solid left back and center back, Real Madrid is a team that will have little to no resistance at all.

Alonso taking over as Real Madrid’s manager would be big for his career. Real Madrid are looking for a fresh start and new faces. This should be able to help the team going forward.
