The Nottingham Forest-Liverpool contest is the first in what shapes up to be a busy day in the English Premier League. Not only do these two old foes do battle, but Manchester City plays a tough Brighton and Hove Albion side. Then, in the day’s finale, Chelsea hosts Manchester United.

Throughout the day, NBC’s coverage includes at least 30 minutes of pregame coverage, including before the early kickoff above. Then, after each game, either Premier League Live or Goal Zone wraps up the action from beforehand.

Forest vs Liverpool

These two clubs are on different trajectories in the current Premier League campaign. After a brutal start to the season, Liverpool has back-to-back wins against Manchester City and West Ham. At 16 points through 10 games, Liverpool sits at 7th in the table. Not good enough for Anfield’s high standards.

Nottingham Forest, on the other hand, failed to bounce back from a slow start. In fact, things seem to be getting worse over at City Ground. Respectable draws against Aston Villa and Brighton polish six losses in Premier League play in a seven-game span.
