It wasn’t until the UEFA Champions League title in 2023 and the Ballon d’Or awarded to him in October 2024 that he truly gained global recognition.
In light of that rise, Manchester City now appear ready to secure Rodri’s future for an additional four seasons, along with a substantial salary increase that reflects his elevated role on the pitch.

This means Rodri’s current contract pays him approximately $12.4 million per year. Should he accept the new offer Manchester City are reportedly preparing, he would earn around $20.7 million annually. Over the course of four years, the total value of the deal would exceed $80 million.
