Juventus Home, Away and Third Shirts for 2014/15 Season: Kit Review and [PHOTOS]

This week Italian giants Juventus released their home and away kits for the 2014/15 season.

Nike, who have made Juventus kits since 2003, are teaming up with the Turin club for a final season, before the “keys” are handed over to Adidas. This partnership, which has seen four Scudetti, as well as a one-season demotion to Serie B, has produced many iconic kits. This last offering could be one to savor.

The home shirt boasts an enlarged club crest on the left hand side, and Juve’s trademark black and white stripes have been widened, too.

The most noticeable differences from last season’s jersey are the stylish black polo neck collar and long v-shaped placket.

Described as a “modern interpretation of the deep necklines often seen on classic Juventus shirts,” this was presumably done to take fans back to the glorious Michel Platini-inspired 1980s.

Juventus claim this new strip is “infused with the passion of the Bianconeri fans, a kit that shows the club it belongs to Turin.” As such, the inside back neck has a yellow-and-blue piping, representing Turin’s royal colors.

Below this is a white tab with the message: “Fino alla fine” – “Until the end”, a motto chosen by an online fan poll earlier this year.

The shorts are a classic white with a thin black stripe along each side, while the socks are white.

The away strip sees the club return to their traditional combination of blue, with yellow accents.

The most eye-catching feature of this jersey is the star design emanating from the club crest. It’s an interesting look, and it really makes the shirt stand out.

The smatterings of yellow on this jersey can be found on the crew collar, the edge of the sleeve cuffs, and in the Nike swoosh.

Jeep’s logo is splashed across the shirt in bold, white typeface.

The away shorts and socks are both blue, meaning the reigning Serie A champions will play in a striking all-blue ensemble on their travels this season.

Finally, although not officially released, images of the Bianconeri’s third strip have been leaked online.

Based on the same Nike design template as Paris Saint-Germain’s 2014/15 third kit, this bright green offering really stands out.

The jersey is lime green, with black accents. Like the home kit, this shirt features a distinctive polo neck collar.

These new offerings, while perhaps daring, will undoubtedly be very popular with fans; the return of the famous blue away kit will be well-received, in particular. When it comes to Juventus uniforms, over the years we’ve really come to expect excellence. These latest strips don’t disappoint.
