As City and its main star Erling Haaland prepare for the tournament, a leaked image of their 2025 Club World Cup kit has surfaced online, sparking excitement among fans. According to reports, the Sky Blues’ new kit—designed by Puma—features a ‘Tonal Sash’ design, incorporating a black and red vertical slash across the chest. This design bears a striking resemblance to the club’s iconic Umbro third shirt from 2011, the year Sergio Aguero’s last-minute goal secured Manchester City’s first Premier League title in 44 years.
The leaked shirt image, shared by Footy Headlines, suggests that Puma has also included a nod to the ‘Poznan’ celebration, a signature moment for City fans over the years. This type of celebration where fans turn their backs to the pitch, link arms, and jump in unison—has become synonymous with the team’s most passionate moments, and incorporating it into the kit adds a unique cultural touch.
Puma’s ambitious partnership with Manchester City
City’s kits have been manufactured by Puma since 2019 when the club signed a lucrative 10-year deal worth up to $84 million per year. The deal, which runs until 2029, is one of the biggest kit partnerships in soccer and also extends to City’s sister clubs in Australia, Spain, Uruguay, and China.
