Lautaro Martínez’s Inter Milan hosts Chritian Pulisic’s AC Milan in the second leg of the Coppa Italia 2025 semifinals. Once again, the Giuseppe Meazza stadium will be dressed to impress this Wednesday, April 23, in a new edition of the Derby della Madonnina. Currently, both teams are experiencing opposite realities in both Serie A and the Champions League.

The team led by Simone Inzaghi is having a great season. The Nerazzurri are leaders in Serie A and in the semifinals of the Champions League. Now they will seek to assert their home advantage with the intention of obtaining the triple crown, they will try to translate their game onto the field and get a favorable result to advance to the next stage of the tournament.

Those commanded by Sérgio Conceição, despite being far from the fight for the championship and having an irregular season, will appeal to their strategy to counteract Inter’s power and take the victory as visitors. After drawing in the first leg, they will seek to get the pass to the final and be able to consecrate themselves as champions again.

Pulisic aims to inspire AC Milan

As his best season to date with AC Milan nears its conclusion, U.S. Men’s National Team midfielder Christian Pulisic will aim to inspire his side to a Coppa Italia semi-final victory over fierce rivals Inter Milan.

Having drawn the first leg of the semi-final at San Siro 1-1 thanks to goals from Tammy Abraham and Hakan Calhanoglu, it’s all to play for on Wednesday as AC aims to spoil the party for Inter – who also remain in contention for the UEFA Champions League and lead the way in Serie A.

All the while, Pulisic and Co. will need to avoid the whirlwind swirling around head coach Sergio Conceicao, with Calciomercato claiming that “in all likelihood” he will be let go by AC at the end of the season. Should AC be on the lookout for a new coach, it has been suggested they may target Massimiliano Allegri, Antonio Conte, Maurizio Sarri, or Vincenzo Italiano.
