PSG come into this clash after an almost perfect 2024–25 season. Under head coach Luis Enrique, they finally captured the elusive UEFA Champions League title that had long been their obsession—doing so with clear dominance, particularly in the final against Inter Milan.

Tottenham, meanwhile, also achieved something historic last campaign: the Europa League trophy was their first international title in 41 years, and their first trophy of any kind since 2008.
