Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher recently sat down on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football to analyze how defending has changed in the Premier League from when both of these English footballers were being coached compared to more modern defenders such as David Luiz and Jan Vertonghen.
Neville argues that the Premier League clubs should incorporate dynamic defenders such as Luiz and Vertonghen, as they (i.e. Brazil and Belgium) must be on to something if they’re winning so many games.
