England to Play Friendly Against Honduras In Miami In Early June: Nightly Soccer Report

England will play Honduras at Sun Life Stadium in Miami in early June as part of their 2014 World Cup preparations, according to a report tonight in The Mirror.

Last year, Roy Hodgson traveled to Miami to evaluate whether the training facilities would be good enough for England before they head to Brazil this summer. According to The Mirror, England will play Peru in a friendly at Wembley on May 28 before heading to Florida two days later to prepare for the match against Honduras, who have also qualified for Brazil 2014.

While details are still sketchy and The FA have yet to confirm details, England are also supposed to play another friendly in the States before they head to Brazil on June 8. The Mirror says the second friendly will be in Miami, too, against a team yet to be confirmed, but there were reports late last year that England would play the United States in either Boston or Washington DC.

As soon as we have more details, we’ll share them with you. But for now, we know that England are scheduled to play Honduras in sunny South Florida in early June.
