Carlos Tevez is expected to leave Juventus at the end of the season in order to return to the club where he made his senior debut, Boca Juniors, according to numerous reports.

The former Manchester City striker has never hid the fact he’d like to return home to Argentina, even stating that he would once again rejoin Boca Juniors towards the end of his career.

Now, it is understood Tevez has told Juventus president Andrea Agnelli that he wants to end his time with the Italian champions and return to his native country.

Tevez’s current contract with Juventus is set to expire in 2016.

Speculation is the club is willing to let the striker leave and has already identified his replacement, Palermo forward Paulo Dybala.

In face, talks have already begun with the 21-year-old’s representative and his current club.

Tevez’s international manager Tata Martino insists that any potential move will have no effect on the player’s future on the national team.

“The most important thing for me is that Tevez continues to play as well as he is at the moment,” Martino said.

“It doesn’t matter whether that’s at Juventus or Boca. Only he knows what’s best for his future.

“I will say this, though: Juventus are a great team, but so are Boca Juniors. It wouldn’t be a step down.”
