Former Chelsea left-back Ashley Cole has given his first interview as an AS Roma player.

The 33-year-old defender signed a two-year deal with the Serie A side on July 7.

Cole started his career with Arsenal making 229 appearances and scoring nine goals. Along the way, he made a Champions League final appearance, won two Premier League titles, three FA Cups and was a key member of the 2003-04 Gunners side that will forever be known as “The Invincibles” that went the entire league campaign undefeated.

In a long-drawn-out transfer saga, the left-back completed a move to London-rival Chelsea in August 2006.

While with the Blues, Cole won a Premier League title, four FA Cups, one League Cup, as well as a Champions League and Europa League titles.

Cole has also been an England International for fourteen years with 107 caps. He participated in the 2002, 2006 and 2010 World Cups; as well as Euro 2004 and Euro 2012 (England did not qualify for Euro 2008).

In international football, Ashley Cole is England’s most capped full back. Domestically, no player has won more FA Cups than he has.
