CBS Sports today announced the match analysts and on-site reporters for its coverage of the 2019-20 UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League, beginning this week.
Jermaine Jenas, Jim Beglin and Rob Green have been named match analysts for CBS Sports’ coverage across multiple ViacomCBS platforms, with every match on CBS All Access and select matches on CBS Sports Network.
Jenas will work alongside play-by-play announcer Clive Tyldesley for three matches, including the UEFA Champions League Final, with Green handling the other two matches with Tyldesley. Beglin will team with play-by-play announcer Peter Drury for five matches, including the UEFA Europa League Final.
Seema Jaswal, Julien Laurens, Guillem Balague and Raphael Honigstein have been named reporters for the live match coverage and will provide on-site updates and interviews for the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 matches, with Jaswal in Manchester, Laurens in Torino, Balague in Barcelona, and Honigstein in Munich.
“From the beginning, we knew there needed to be authenticity to our coverage,” said Pete Radovich, Coordinating Producer of UEFA, CBS Sports. “We are excited to pair Clive and Peter, two first-class announcers, with three strong analysts in Jermaine, Jim and Rob, who all have playing experience at the top levels of European soccer, and our expert group of on-site reporters will round out our live match coverage.”
As previously announced, ViacomCBS’ coverage of the 2019-2020 UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League begins this week with the remaining Round of 16 matches, followed by the Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals and Final in a straight knockout tournament, and will span multiple ViacomCBS platforms, including every match on CBS All Access and select matches on CBS Sports Network.
Pete Radovich, CBS Sports’ Senior Creative Director, will be the Coordinating Producer for UEFA coverage. He is a 37-time Emmy Award winner, including two “Outstanding Studio Show” wins for Inside The NFL where he has served as the Coordinating Producer for the past 12 years.
