Wow, I’m a man city supporter so you might say I could be little bit bias at times, but not one defender from the second best defence in the league (could end up the best) shows that this is not the best thought out list is it. You have put defenders such as Dunne in living off last season he has been a massive let down for Villa this year. There are maybe a couple in the list that match Kompany i.e Vidic & Terry as for Luiz he’s only played 10 games! Surly to be at top defender you have to defend at home and away? Well this must mean you think Joe Hart to be the best keeper in the world as if non of City’s defenders get on the list there must be some reason not many score past them!

I know I’m biased, but… no love for Carragher or Agger? Or how about Martin Kelly? Displaced England’s starting right back and proceeded to keep, among others, Gareth Bale and Ashley Cole firmly under wraps. Incredible stuff from a 20-year-old.

I think you forgot about Johan Djourou.
I’m not saying he should win this category but he’s been Arsenal’s best defender for most of this season and is better than half the names on that list.
I think the fact leighton baines isnt the most voted for player is ridiculous!
there may not be a better defender in the entire world now than Leightong baines, absolute class player.

The ENTIRE EPL Talk poll is INCREDIBLY biased to the big 4. I guess you Americans only follow the famous clubs anyway and don’t take much notice on the talent in the others.

am a manchster united fan,i think nemenja vidic is right defender, he has the quality of a good defender i.e timing,sturminer, tackling,shielding and playing nicely.
Carragher OMG you avin a laugh? Since when has shirt pulling an been a gobshite put ya in contention for defender of the season.. There the only qualities he has.
