Ted Lasso and MLS Season Pass are the two biggest draws for soccer fans to Apple. One provides a great family-oriented show. The other is the home for every single game in the top men’s soccer division in the United States.

With MLS Season Pass broadcasting MLS games since late February, it as good a time as ever to get on the Apple bandwagon. Plus, season three of Ted Lasso debuts March 15 on Apple TV+. For those wondering, it’s important to know that Ted Lasso is not available on MLS Season Pass.

However, if you subscribe to Apple TV+ to watch Ted Lasso, you can save on MLS Season Pass. Apple TV+ subscribers can get a monthly subscription to MLS Season Pass for $12.99 per month. The annual MLS Season Pass option is $79 with Apple TV+. Comparatively, the base monthly price is $14.99 and the season-long subscription is $99.

That is where the $20 savings comes in. If comparing the monthly options, the MLS season runs from late February to early November, the savings are still about $20 from traditional MLS Season Pass to the subscription with Apple TV+. However, the $79 option is the cheapest MLS Season Pass gets.

Ted Lasso and MLS Season Pass are a great mix

In an imaginary world, Apple would stream the live games to AFC Richmond. The issue is that Apple does not have the Premier League rights, and AFC Richmond is, in fact, fictional.

Nevertheless, the combination of the show about AFC Richmond and MLS Season Pass is a great opportunity for fans of the show to get a glimpse into a diverse soccer league. Or, on the other end, soccer fans already enjoying MLS Season Pass can check out one of the most popular TV shows in the United States. As an added bonus, the show revolves around soccer.

MLS casts doubt on its future with Apple TV for the first time

The deal between Apple and MLS to broadcast every game in the American top flight was always a risk. In 2023, MLS Commissioner Don Garber even admitted it.
